About Michael Farley

Michael grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and has been around golf since he was a kid. He went to university in Georgia, turned professional after a solid college career, and played the mini-tours in Florida along with the Australian and South African Sunshine tours.

He then went through PGA training in the UK and became a teaching professional at Blackmoor Golf Club in southern England, before spending three years working under European Tour coach Jamie Gough at his golf school in Cape Town. Eight years teaching in Germany and Switzerland followed, plus a season caddying and managing on the European Tour.

Michael has now been in the Bay Area for nine years. Alongside his own students he is assistant men's golf coach at the University of San Francisco, and previously spent two years coaching at Archbishop Riordan High School. He holds Titleist Performance Institute certification at levels 1, 2 and 3, and teaches almost entirely on TrackMan.

Twenty-four years of teaching means he's seen your miss before. Whether you've never held a club or you're grinding to get into single digits, it's just you and Michael, working on your game at a pace that fits you.
